Ugh. Incredible. I’m not just saying that because you all didn’t go. West Hills backyard, 40 people, great songtalk, cool people, weird special “barking backyard dogs” versions of some of the best Jonah tunes, and some amazing surprising covers. “Romantic yearning and good pop tunes are such a potent combo for transcendence.” He talked about his appreciation for these backyard shows. Talked about getting offered a big long Far tour and thinking about turning it down in favor of small special shows like this one. I gotta admit, the guy is a big inspiration to me. I just refilled a little battery I carry around in my head that reminds me how much more important interesting, different, fun, people and ideas are over things like money and being the best around. What’s most important are the things that give you a sweet goofy smile. Like an R2D2 solo in a pop song. Oh, and he mentioned a block of Onelinedrawing Reunion Shows in LA on August 13th, 14th, and 15th. R2D2 and all.
